1 month since BG completed second time, no update in LPP - any ideas how much time will it take for LPP update and subsequent oath (17 months and counting)

My background was completed July 27, 2022 . I got my Test invite in early November and completed my test Nov 13, 2022 . I didn't receive LPP until April 14, 2023 .

We have nearly the same timeline. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we get the oath invite sooner rather than later.

My test was done in September last yr, my background check completed 2 times after 2 FP, so I am just a little paranoid that this FP again and again should not keep happening.. plus PR cards are also about to expire, too much paper work

I feel bad that you are dealing with these extra steps. And having to deal with a tight timeline on your existing PR card, I can see why you are feeling extra stress. I wish you good luck that your journey ends quickly.

I am in the same boat as you. Similar timelines including 2nd FP (18th month and counting..) :-(

My FP runs out next month. I hope I won't have to do it again :-(

I doubt that they have a default 1 year counter for the FP, exactly on the 365th day my background verification turned to "In Progress" from "Completed"

They have some check that keep running as my BG was completed in March but just after the test in October it changed back to in progress and then until the next yr when fingerprints expired and they requested a new one from me they kept it in progress. They do have some weird process about BG check hard to pinpoint what they do with applications at various stages

My LPP got completed this morning..!! Hope all the folks waiting in this forum gets an update/closure soon..!!

FINALLY!!!

I logged in this morning to discover that everything (except citizenship ceremony) is updated to completed (May 2)!!! Other than ghost updates, I've had nothing since I completed the citizenship text in Aug 2022. I'm shocked, I'm relieved and of course I have 2 trips out of the country in the next 2 months LOL - I can guarantee the ceremony will conflict. But right now, I don't even care, I'm so happy!!!

Other than ghost updates, I've had nothing since I completed the citizenship text in Aug 2022. I'm shocked, I'm relieved and of course I have 2 trips out of the country in the next 2 months LOL - I can guarantee the ceremony will conflict. But right now, I don't even care, I'm so happy!!!
