Overall and all things considered, not bad in terms of your timelines - A month off the original timelines provided on the site (12 months), which given the current pandemic situation and all that's happened in the past couple of months isn't terrible. You might be the outlier though, I'd be curious to see what the average delay looks like for most of the November cohort when the dust has finally settled. It's a small sample size, but it'd be very telling of the overall state of affairs at the IRCC.

Spoke to IRCC agent yesterday on my case....with the test completed but not showing on the new tracker. I am concerned that the test window is closing July 26 to August 15th.....and wanted to be sure that there was no miss / issues from my side, more so considering that my wife's status shows as completed. The agent said that this is normal. Status, I believe, need not be updated in system while the process is happening in the background. Not sure what it means and i believe there could be different case officers for mine and my spouse's application - even though we are family applicants, i believe it is treated as individual applications. Not sure what this all means except that i have to keep waiting for further inputs in case things are issues..
For those getting FP request. Was your background check complete before or in progress? My partner is in the same boat as many with BG check completed Apr 12 and then no update since Apr 23. I am getting antsy checking multiple times a day!
