I don't know if I got a ghost update, but status tracker showed l had four new updates, all of which were all updates...Last one being July 2020.
What does a ghost update look like on your ends?

Happy New Year Everyone

I emailed the citizenship email address today because they told me back in November I was scheduled to take my oath on Jan 6th but I had not received an email with the ceremony details. Surprisingly enough, they emailed back a couple of hours later letting me know they have decided to schedule all the applicants for January 6th to a possible in-person service for Jan 20th to avoid the 6-8 week delay to receive the certificates which impacts travel plans.

I have my fingers crossed they won't postpone again but it's always a guessing game at this point.

just wanted to share we may be going back to in-person ceremonies this year

Ottawa Office but in November it seems Niagara Office had my file.

I emailed the same email that sent me the notice to do my test online.

I think this is actually the first in-person oath they have scheduled since the pandemic based on the email they sent me a couple of weeks ago when they had to postpone my original Jan 6th date which was meant to be on Zoom
