Well, someone said people get test invites around 90 days from when the BG checks were set to "Completed". However, I'm not sure how true this is. My Background Checks were set to "Completed" on March 9th. My GCMS showed my application moved to "Test Ready" status in Mississauga office on March 24th. Makes me think the test invites might be sent out around the 90 day mark from when the application went to "Test Ready" status (again, no evidence for this, just putting the possibility out there) which means I could, perhaps, receive a test invitation on or before 24th June.
Without a sizable number of applicants reporting this, we can't arrive at any conclusions.
My BG was completed on January 20,2021 and no updates since then.
I called IRCC today and they told me that the ottawa office received my apllication on May 18th, 2021. I hope I will get a test invitation soon.
My application still everything Inprocess. I did not have background check completed.
Guys heads up. Looks like someone just got an in-person test.
Look at
this post. There is no test window and the words "online test" is not seen on their status update. They've given the applicant a single date (June 7) to attend the test. The OP still hasn't received an email.
We're still NOT SURE if this is an in-person test but be sure to check that thread when the OP responds once s/he receives the test invitation in the email.
UPDATE: This could just be IRCC modifying the process to allow only 1 day for online tests instead of the 21 day window. We won't know until the OP gets back to us once s/he received an email invite.
.Well why so much assumption on a test , website still say no in person ,or we just want to hear something different.
Due to COVID-19, we cancelled
- all in-personcitizenship tests
Also how can we jump ahead of those who applied earlier

Yeah I know. IRCC works in mysterious ways sometimes. It is an assumption for the time being; however, we will know for sure when the OP gets back to us with the content of his/her test email.

That's been happening forever, I think. Not all applications can be processed at the same pace. If the applications are non-routine (more BG checks, Finger prints, RQs, failed/rescheduled test etc), they will take more time to be processed.
Having said that, currently, I agree that the timelines for 2019 and for some 2018 applicants is extremely unfair. People have been waiting for 2 - 3 years for citizenship while some late 2020 applicants have finished test; some have even completed their oath ceremonies and have become citizens already.
It is what it is, I guess. This is how it has always been. Because of COVID, the delays are even longer now.

I like the "blame on COVID excuses" I really wish I could use the same argument when I am unable to complete our customer projects on time.

Haha, yeah! I know what you are talking about. Working in IT, you can't tell your boss or the customer you weren't able to deliver on time because of COVID.

In private sector, covid has improved things!

Hi Everyone, I know only one person here have taken the test but what kind of questions can they ask? I am trying to remember all the dates in the history of Canada...
Hi, everyone. Finally found the link to the new tracker and it says:
You need to take your online citizenship test between June 11, 2021 and July 1, 2021.
Does it mean i need to study and can take the test online any day and time between these dates?

Check

Also, check
this. Take free practice tests before you take the test.
Good luck.
