My AOR was Nov 16, BIL was Dec 29. There has been no update since then. I am thinking of getting married to a widower who has a son. I want to add both of them to my application. Will I need additional documents to add my husband's son or am I only allowed to add my spouse?
I have a question for you, my common-law partner (secondary applicant) will change her job next month. Do I have to inform IRCC about that or they should be informed only if primary applicant change his job? The new job is at other company and something similar. If yes, do I have to submit also a letter from the new employer or they will ask for it if needed?
@legalfalcon maybe you know better. Thank you in advance!

No need to inform since you do not get any points for your spouse's / CLP's foreign work experience. However, if you claimed Canadian work ex for your CLP, then you should inform IRCC.

You can add your spouse and minor child. Send a webform to IRCC and they will send you the list of documents and forms required. For a step child, you may need additional documents such as document showing complete custody from the non-accompanying biological parent or proof that they have absolute custody as a result of death of one of the biological parent.

Looks like it’ll be a long wait for me, here’s hoping my case doesn’t get stuck for 10+ months like many others on this forum. CPC-O appears to be the slowest.
