No Actually this is either False IP2 or IP2. I have the same messages under Background check and Review of Eligibility and my AOR is 28th Nov, received MEP and BIL 7th January. We can't really know..

I think it's false IP2? My medicals were passed at the same time as his, and my BG status was the same as his since then but it changed on Friday to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check".
Ok so an update. I got RPRF request. Furthermore, I think my BG check status has also changed in the portal. It now says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check ". Earlier it used to be something like "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"

Hi all, thought you might be interested to know that today IRCC have published the number of applications received and processed in November 2020 (previously was only data up to October 2020).
I'm no expert here but just a data nerd so let me know if my understanding is wrong here for any reason.
Looking at the data from:
Source Countries - Applications Received for Permanent Residency (in Persons) by Month
Source Countries - Authorizations and Visas Issued for Permanent Residents (in Persons) by Month
There are a few notable things:
IRCC are clearing the backlog. Due to the impacts of COVID, IRCC received more applications that they processed from March to September 2020. However, since October they have been approving significantly more applications than they have received, meaning that the overall number of applications in the queue waiting to be processed is starting to shrink.
Not-so-good news for us - There is a significant backlog of cases ahead of ours
Good news for us - it seems IRCC are almost back to pre-COVID levels of processing and hopefully we will start to see the average wait time trend closer to 6 months again.
Try not to get too obsessed with the progress of cases you see here or on my immitracker - these cases are a tiny fraction of the PR applications that IRCC receive and 100-200 cases per month is not really enough to establish trends or patterns.

If your AoR is Nov 4, then it is too early for the eligibility to be passed. If your BGC status changed then that happens twice during the processing, first when the criminality is done and then goes back to NA and then again when your security starts.
All application go through the following
R10
Criminality
Medicals
Eligibility
Security
BGC = criminality + security
Only when an application has passed R10, Criminality and Meds, will the eligibility start, which is very Time consuming and takes 2-3 months and all documents have to be reviewed. Only after eligibility is passed, the security is initiated which is the last stage and is done by agencies such as CBSA and RCMP.

One thing I don’t understand: you say that eligibility and criminality take few months. My question: how come some people receive PPR in 40 days after AOR?

myimmitracker is a tiny fraction. That is so true. In Nov. there are 192 cases received PPR in MyImmiTracker. in your data the number is 21047. Which means only about 1% applicants share their progress in MyImmiTracker …

Thank you! I have also received RPRF request. Do they ask for RPRF before clearing eligibility? I saw some threads where it was mentioned they ask for RPRF after clearing eligibility.
Think of them as a detailed status for your application. They show all the progress that has been done on your application. Remarks that the officer working on your application has made etc. They take around a month to get once you raise the request but these days the time has greatly increased. They’re only beneficial when at least 4-5 months have passed since your application otherwise it’s a waste of time and money. Search on this forum, you’ll see tons of info on them.
