All I can say is that Edmonton office is the slowest office in all Canada.

I totally agree. i sometimes wonder how long it takes an officer to work on a single file considering their large numbers in that tall building in downtown.

my oath ceremony was scheduled, here is my full timeline so far :

Notes:
- application type: family (me and wife)
- Feb 20, 2020 was the AOR date.
- I sent my application on the 25th of November, 2019.
- No oath email yet.

You'll have to get a "Decision Made" first. There could be an interview and/or passport pages request before Decision Made. Oath comes after Decision Made.

i received the email on August 18 but it was showing that it was showing on august 12 itself that i am scheduled to take the test on august 20

My application shows the physical presence, prohibitions, language skills and background verification as completed. I gave my test on 20 Aug 2021. will they ask for a passport page request? how long will it take for the next stage or until oath?

Anybody knows since when did the ircc say it was okay to give the tests outside of Canada?

I got my test invite back in March 2021 and couldn't give the test then as I was not in Canada.

That option wasn't available in March. I think they started allowing tests from outside Canada sometime in June 2021.

Still in progress, only our background are completed. Anyone have an idea why is it take it so long. I know we are in pandemic but I have seen some people sent their applications later than me and they even got their oath done. I called them about 4 months ago and they said everything is fine.
Any advice would be appreciated.
