Ok, if you think life for you is hard, listen to this. A guy has just opened a thread because he wants to know if he can apply with 458 points for him and his wife, only that he'd gone to Mexico and married another chick there, stayed with her 2 months then went back to Pakistan and married his current wife, is now trying to divorce the first wife remotely through a Mexico based lawyer while wondering if his second marriage is legal as per Canadian law and whether that means that he should also divorce his second wife and marry her again after the first divorce is finalized before applying for EE...

It's too much of an effort to find those threads. Maybe I am just hallucinating. I agree that such cases extremely rare. So let's just hope for the best.
This process has gone from being transparent to a complete blackbox.
bro .. the same post of 2 applicants whose files got refused kept repeating in this forum to a point where they were approved after contacting ircc which was a great news to everyone on this forum..
That is why you kept seeing the same posts on refusal again and again..
So do not worry .. rejections are to a minimum - barely 1 or 2 a year - check immitracker if you want to - cheers

I called ircc yday and asked the agent about the recent reply I got ( about the additional verification) the agent said that everything is OK..... Nothing to worry. He said ircc is performing additional verification while waiting for security.....
When I asked him to send a reminder, he said he cannot send the reminder as he is not allowed to because background check is in progress and they have not forgotten about my file. He also said that he cannot let me know any approximate date but I might hear from ircc sooner than later :0
When I said within this month, he said might be.......
I am not raising my hopes high as I dont trust the agents....
Hoping against hope to hear something from ircc soon
I actually saw it on immitracker, but yeah it's a brazilian! File was processed in the Mexico visa office... 54 days is way less time than our files have gone over 6 months, it's unbelievable!

Look up the local MP based on your address (one you provided in your application) - you can find all the contact info for the MP (email and phone #) on the official government page. Then, I'd recommend making an appointment to visit the constituency office. You can then explain your situation to them and ask them for help on your case.
