It could be even longer. You really can't predict anything with IRCC.
True... but let's be honest, there's not a whole lot of cases with no SS and no RR on eligibility that go beyond a year... So hopefully that won't happen to any of us

Another thing I've been thinking about is that they probably don't wanna start 2020 with a bunch of backlogged cases from 2018. Most of us should be cleared by September end given the 10 month trend, and the ones who aren't, hopefully won't be waiting much longer than November end
My medicals expire on September 24, although it would be very annoying if they ask for re-medicals because that service is no available in my city. I would have to pay AGAIN for the new tests + a round flight from my city to Mexico City.
Anyone has any idea about what factors determine if they ask for re-medicals or just extend its validity?
I'm in the same boat... Medicals expire on Oct 24th, and I'd also have to travel far to the closest doctor listed on the IRCC website. Have to spend on tickets for both me and my fiancé, and also pay the very expensive examination fee for both of us.
I find it ridiculously inconsiderate that the IRCC would not only take way longer than usual to process our applications for no apparent reason, but also ask that we spend this much money and time on something that has already been done and would not have to be done again if they had done their job. Unfortunately though, lots of people do get asked to do it again and I believe this is entirely up to the officer in charge (I was actually told that by an agent over the phone). Some get extensions, some don't.
There might be somewhat of a pattern when it comes to inland and outland applicants though, not sure about that...

Nothing really surprises me anymore when it comes to IRCC. I'm basically prepared for anything they throw at me.
Couldn’t agree more ... These days this waiting game has turned into something other level ... I don’t even get hopeful or excited for PPR anymore ....
Same here. There seems to be no excitement left now.
Hi, I have a question, my AOR isNov 28th.I did the medical exam in Oct 27th 2018 and my profile shows that on January 7th 2019 you passed the medical exam.
What is the expiry date of my medical?
@SithLord Can you please help me with this question?

Ok If I get a ppr, will the expiry of the visa will be 26th of October or later than this?

The visa expiry will be the date of the expiry of medicals and it can't go beyond that.

Then it will be very short period to land!!

They make give you auto extension when they issue visas. Has happened before with some people.
one of the worst update in the history of Canadian immigration is the 'Estimated time bar'
I wonder how much time and resources that cost them.
And you guys want to move to this country? LOL
So spoke to an agent today, I'm starting to think he could be drunk because it's Friday evening
He says passport request will be sent pending officer's final review

I asked him if decision is made? He says no and officer's final review is required but that's what it says in the system
Apparently, he thinks whoever responded to my remainder on Monday must have marked it for final decision pending. Also, they are aware about my medicals but there is no indication of re-med.
I am super confused

This is the first time in months I have heard something different
The agent also added many cases are now going past 9/10 months which is normal because they received a lot of applications. The case officers are working overtime to clear most of them before they head for winter break
