Just had a chat with an not so bad agent and he says " it is too early for your application and we are well within our processing time". "Your application is basically having just one update, which is MEP".
"Eligibility - Final decision has not been made".
"Background check - Not started."
"Have a nice day"
90% of applications are processed within 180 days but yes there are exemptions when it can go past 180 days for some. Uually post 180 day period is when the application is flagged for further review!! In such cases, it may even take a year.
I have noticed a guy who had Sep AOR 2017 but got his PPR this month because he was flagged for security

A couple of December AOR folks got PPR and here I am Nov AOR still waiting for RPRF request
If I don't get any update this week, I am probably just going to give up and not bother anymore. Checking regularly and not seeing any update but then reading other folks with later AOR dates than mine are getting update is kind of killing all my hopes
It appears everybody gets this template response. But when i raised my CSE the response was
- background check not started
- Medical results on file are valid.
And by the way am Nigerian. No significant update till date. I guess there are just a whole lot of Nigerians applying hencr the idea that Nigerian applications are faster. Afterall, Nigeria has a population of over 200miilion people so im very sure a huge proportion of express entry applicants are nigerians lol
