Not really. I applied on February 8 but got it after almost a month. By that point already received PPR email on February 28
So no use. It's a misconception that once you order GCMS notes, it triggers your application further. It's a myth spread by people doing business around GCMS.
I agree that US resident applications are processed faster

I don't think is because of maintenance ,otherwise everyone else would have had one in their profile.I think its related specifically to your application
Completely agree with you..people here create anxiety by stating overdramatic comments..some exceptions can be there with few files but looking at the trend most files get sorted within the timeline provided
You liked the wrong comment there, pal . That very same person was actually the one stating that almost all applications are processed within 7-12 months, and only the rare 30% get it within the timeframe, which is total bs.
It would be so nice if those pessimistic people did not try to sell false information for facts. I know I'm not the only one who gets irritated by the so-called-statistics from various 'experts' .
So guys, stay positive. Don't trust everything you read on this forum. Share good news, and most importantly, if the source of the information you're about to share is your own insecurities, PLEASE keep that 'information' to yourself.
Peace!

That's great news. I'm still waiting for my return envelop to be activated in Canada Post site. Following thread seems to be helpful when waiting to receive the passports back.
Also pls what happens if u travel out of the country then ppr arrives?? Can we post the passport to our home country's passport office for stamping or do we have to travel back home?
Not always it happens that VO actually starts working on your file when he/she is organizing your Notes. But it has been a proven factor for triggering many PRs when the officer might have thought well I am here already working on the file, why not approve/decline or do whatever he/she can to progress it....
Ordering GCMS notes is not a scam at all....People can order free of cost if they are in Canada....
Search on here for all cases where people received PR within few days of ordering GCMS notes...I promise you, you will find atleast 20-30 cases if not more....

I guess that GCMS may had some effect on my application as well.
I applied 2 sets of GCMS.
One on Jan 4th
and one on Feb 6th
The first GCMS notes were generated on Jan 16th (according to the second set of GCMS)
and my eligibility and criminality was passed on the same day (within 3 mins between themselves according to the second GCMS notes).
And also received "How to find a job in Canada" email on Jan 16th.
PPR on Feb 28th.
