Had a decision made on May 18, pls update. Also because I have traveled a lot and only worked half year since pr landing. So I had an interview with the CO, asked lots of questions and took about 30 mins. But it all went well.
I just checked my ecas. I have a status of 'Decision made'. My test was on Wednesday, May 16 so I believe the new status appeared on Thursday or Friday. Could you please update the spreadsheet? Thank you!

Hi LadyA, the officer told me that I should expect a waiting time of around 2-3 months for the oath letter (starting from the test/interview day, if I understood correctly). They didn't mention anything about security checks.
I just checked my ecas by chance, and I saw they have scheduled my exam for June 7th but I did not received any email or mail. it is said "We sent you a notice on May 18, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on June 7".
what should I do now? call them and tell them I have not received any email?

Just wait a bit. You will eventually get it. The status is updated first. The email comes out later. Also make sure you are monitoring your Junk/Spam folder.
I have a question. Is the certificate you get at your oath ceremony one you can use when applying for a passport?
On the passport application under proof of Canadian citizenship they seem to make a distinction between the two but I don't know if that is referring to those who pre-2012 got an actual card with photo as well as a commemorative certificate OR if they are referring to what one gets today at an oath ceremony? They tell people to wait at least two business days after ceremony to apply for passport so I am hoping what you get today is proof of citizenship.
