No - no one has gotten AOR. Based on reports on this forum, it looks like the cap for CEC was reached around October 23rd and anyone who submitted their application afterwards can expect to have it returned.
we need official news on what is really happening in CIC for all the applications,., as long as they did not release official statement most of the applicant cant move on. some are hoping, some are sad, stressed.. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
I submitted my CEC application towards the end of November. I just rang the CIC call centre for an update on status. The guy I spoke to wasn't able to tell me anything specific about my application, but said the cap of 8000 had been reached by November and that my application would be returned. He said to confirm with CIO Sydney (where I submitted it to). I've emailed them, but thought I'd share this. I was hoping that cap being reached was all rumor / a hoax, but it doesn't look like it. He said I should submit a profile in EE (which I already have).

The Problem is they did not update their website on what is going on in CEC Application, just like what have they done in grandparents/parents sponsorship. they update right away, that they have reach the enough application....
and also my application was returned one nov 12 coz payment issues. so if the cap was reached in oct they just returning my application because the cap was reached and dont send again with the payment.
Hey Guys, I joined this forum until now but i have been following it since before I sent my application last november. Unfortunately, the rumors are true; I just received my complete package back. Its funny they reviewed all of my documents on November 18, they stamped them as received but it wasnt til january 22nd that they sent it back along with the dreaded letter about the cap being reached.
i sent it on november 13, it reached the sydney p.o box on november 17th; the application was stamped and received by a visa officer on november 18th and the courier mail says it left sydney January 22nd to reach my address in toronto today.
The same for me. My application was received Nov 4th.
I used a lawyer to handle my application and he said nothing official has been announced yet. And my application didn't return yet.
