Thanks for the information. So ur application was received on 23rd Nov 2015. Did you receive any pre -AOR as I didn't receive it and I cant find it in my junk mails as well. Is it something which I need to worry about of not receiving pre- AOR email?

Can someone tell me what determines if you get accepted or not

Not the criteria needed to apply for both fast track and normal entry, more so what are they looking for.

What can I do to improve my chances of being selected

I will have a job but I will be new to the area of Halifax and won't know anyone.

Does joining clubs etc count?

Is it mandatory to receive pre-AOR?

Yes. When Pre-AOR was sent, they asked for confirmation whether applicant has not received nomination from other province or express entry.
I think based on this confirmation mail, they will proceed for AOR.

I just received ADR today with the following questions raised, Please seniors let me have your inputs to guide me in my response:
Please provide a letter of reference for your most recent work experience since your time at ***** (last employer).
Adaptability/Intention to Settle in Nova Scotia
Since your application October 28, 2015 and subsequent communication with NSOI this November and December:
• Have you contacted any community groups or employers in Nova Scotia?
• What research did you do on Nova Scotia prior to your application? Please provide your sources.
• Why do you feel you will do well in Nova Scotia?
• Your children were born in the USA. Did you ever consider moving there permanently?

My NSPN file got closed as I coudnt provide them valid express entry and job seeker code, I coudnt create new express profile because my IELTS was got expired and the nearest date is 7th Jan, when they sent me AOR they asked me submit my valid profile in 5 days, I replied them by mentioning above reason, but again my file closed, is there any chance of file getting reopen.
