Its sad that people are here for some purpose and then disappear . It will be great if someone starts a Post and we all will pass our mobile numbers . And after reaching in NS we can meet their . After PR as well everyone needs some kind of help . If we know someone from our group is already in NS then it will be great help to one another . Lets see what opinion others have .
Yes D you said it...I was also thinking the same thing people who got Nominated and even for PR they are active in the forum. Moreover, they even didnt provide an excel sheet indicating PR status, as from this sheet we are able to know the processing time between PR submission and Passport request.
Dear SDKD, when i applied for PR i was searching for such sheet too but didnt find any. CIC provides an estimated time of 6 months and they are almost accurate with their processing time.

Just want to know if I and spouse are in different countries when they ask for passport will they make any problem . Imagine my wife is in Saudi Arabia and I am in india when they ask for passport we have to specify the city we are in so that they will send visa in that city Canadian Consulate .
I'm not senior, but just giving my opinion. I think it's better that you inform the nomination officer of the mistake now so that he can issue the correct certificate with your name correctly written so as to avoid any bad surprises later on with CIC.
I think that's a simple thing and won't take long for Nomination officer to rectify.

I want to ask that at the time of applying for PR, they require translation of any documents submitted in other languages. My ID card is in Urdu and I have got it translated in 2014 for the FSW program, however, I did not apply at that time. Therefore, can I use the card translation so should I get at new one as that one is old. Does it make a difference?
Hoping this week you will get ADR or else they may give direct Nomination. If you had provided all the documents they needed they would directly give nomination.
Hi, for those in KSA, here's a bit of info of how I got my PCC in KSA:
- I went to my embassy (Philippine Embassy - Jeddah), got a referral from the consul, written in arabic and english, stated here are my info and addressed to the police station of my choice, which is in Tabuk, because that is where I am staying. After two days, I got the letter, I paid someone ( I used skyfreight) to take the letter from Jeddah Consul, since I cannot keep on travelling to Jeddah.
- With the letter, and 1 id picture, and my iqama, I went to the Police station in Tabuk, where I did the finger printing, then they issued me a criminal clearance certificate, with a stamp no criminal record. All information will be in arabic.
- After which I went to a translator, and had it translated. And that's it.
- They will be open from sunday to thursday only. It does not take time, but sometimes it is not easy to just go and do these things, especially for females, so my advice is better to get the certificate once you have the nomination so that you are better prepared.
Another things guys, especially for those who got nomination, I would like you to check out this site, its great because it helps immigrants like us to settle in Nova Scotia and they provide help on language, job market, housing, things any immigrant in a new country would need. Here's the site:
