Hi,
I have the reference letters with the signature of my supervisors and company seal from all my previous works. I am wondering whether or not the immigration officer contact with company directly instead of my supervisors. For instance with HR. I didn't tell anybody except my supervisor about my intention to go to Canada. If they call somebody other than my supervisor in my present work, my managers will learn about my intention which means that I will quit from the job. Does the immigration officer generally contact with the supervisors or directly send an email to the company?
What is the common practice? Please help.

calling company or to your supervisor will be the last thing that immigration officer will do, if they are not satisfied with your documentations.
so its always better to send all the supporting documents like your salary slips, offer letter, promotions letter (if applicable), bank statements showing salary credit transaction.
also if your experience letter is not on companies letter head then notarized that letter, also attach supervisors visiting card which has to include all the details like his designation, companies name, address, his contact no and email ID.
