My thread got a little hijacked, but thank you everyone who replied with information regarding my issue! I appreciate all the links and advice! I will try and use the online "change of address" form but I do not have a Client ID yet (not being processed at the moment) so if it doesn't work I will either call or wait until my sponsorship has been approved.

Thank you all again for all your help :-*

If your husband is back in NZ at your old address (meaning you'll still get correspondence), consider waiting until you have step 1 approval (and hence a Client ID and file number) before advising them to minimize chances of the info getting lost.

Thank you!

My spouse will be joining me in a matter of weeks. We still have our family living at the address we provided though, so it's not a big deal if it gets mailed there while we are away. I am just worried they will not be satisfied with our evidence to return to Canada when we'll already be there! But I will wait for my step 1 to notify them :)

Thank you!!!

The in-depth check of the sponsor (incl intent to return) is done during step 2 so you should be fine :)
