Finally done with the test at St. Clair! the immigration officer asked me very specific questions from my rq so it was very obvious she was reviewing my rq! at the end she said she was satisfied with all the documents i submitted and she will give a positive review. of course, she could not tell when i could possibly expect the oath!
btw, she did not keep my purple test invitation!? is that the standard, the fact they do not keep the invitation letter?

They didn't keep mine - you already did the test and they verified your identity! :)

Hi Citizenship comrades:

Sorry for this irrelevant questions. I have a test on 24th at St Clair (RQ CASE). I have to come from outside the city and I am not familiar with the area. The question is: is their any place to park the car nearby the test center? How long the test and interview process last?
Thanks a lot.

All are paid parking, you need $ 13 - 20 , for 3 hours time

I parked in a public parking on the opposite street of 25 St Clair Ave East. It costed me $18 for 3 hrs.

The best place to park you car is at the under ground PAID parking for Sobyes supermarket.
It's next to St Clair CIC. Location is 81 St Clair st East.
Good luck.

Thank you all for your parking suggestions. :)

Hello Every one,

For those who applied in April 2013, received an RQ and notice to prepare in Dec/Jan, have you got any test dates yet? Still waiting.

Thx

I filled RQ and sent it back in Feb 2013! Got a Notice to Prepare in Dec 2013... still waiting for next steps...:/
P.S. Mississauga office

Applied for citizenship on Aug 2012
Start processing in Jan 2013
RQ received May 2013 and resent jun 2013
Letter to prepare for exam received on Dec 2013
NO exam yet ... Local office is Mississauga.

Any one who's local office is Mississauga and received a test date?

All my friends and family with a pre test RQ in Mississauga received a letter to prepare for exam but no test date yet.

Thanks

It seems applications filed in Scarborough are getting test dates earlier.....than Mississauga...even the RQ ones...

OK Citizenship Comrades, Update time

Gave my citizenship test today at St Clair. Reached there at 7.30 am to beat the down town traffic. The test went well : 20/20 :). The interview was smooth and very informal (15 minutes). The officer was very friendly. The officer checked the ID, PR card and Passport originals. Tallied the entry/exit stamps in passport and verified with my application entries (declared absences). The particulars were checked off in the officers file. Asked questions about present job, career, criminal record etc, mostly simple conversation to know the candidates English skills as well as to check off the requirements for the citizenship file. Looks like, they already had verified the RQ and other documents (it was all there in front). At the end the officer informed that my application is good and will be forwarded to the judge. Oath can expected with in 2 to 4 months time (due to large number of candidates appearing for the test).

Time line: application sent Jan 2012
Acknowledgement: Feb 2012
RQ requested: Nov 2012
RQ sent Dec 2012
Notice to prepare for citizenship test letter received: first week Jan 2014
Notice to write the test/interview: Jan 4th week 2014
Test date/done: 24 Feb 2014
