I received the same letter today. Seems that they will invite us for the test then forward the file to a judge for decision??? Don't know..please guys keep posting we all have the same timelines

I got the same letter yesterday, and my dates are similar, I sent RQ on Aug 2013. I called to CIC but they said that the exam could be on the next months... no specific amount of months. I have to renew my PR and they said that if I am planning to travel then it is better to renew my PR, I guess that is a sign that the process still is going to take another year or more.
PLease keep posting.

Thanks

I finally got my letter today, I almost fainted! :o

We received your application on August 19, 2010.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s),August 19, 2010.
We started processing your application on May 4, 2011.
RQ requested on June 16, 2013
RQ returned to CIC in July.

oops I didn't see the St. Clair Office part.... I was just so excited to get my letter after 3.5 years....
I'm not even sure what office mine was in.

Congrats Lavaland !!! There's hope for me yet ... I applied March 2010 !

Here is my timeline -

1. We received your application on March 18, 2010
2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application and a study book on March 18, 2010
3. We started processing your application on January 25th, 2011 (note, this step was only input in ecas within the last couple of days, it was never included before)
4. We sent you a letter on January 25th, 2011 (this was prior to RQ's I guess. Just asking me for clarification of dates for my "absences" from Canada, ie holidays, visiting family overseas). I replied to this letter in March 2011.

The only other communication I have received from CIC was a letter in September 2011 stating that there could be a delay of up to 24 months in processing my case ... well, I'm still waiting ! I'm at 46 months as of January 18th this year.

Was any of yours initials by an officer, mine was initials as 'C.M.' in blue ink. Could this mean by file has been assigned to an officer?

I received same letter yesterday dated Dec23rd initialled by BH and this is my timeline

1-We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 3, 2012.

2-We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 3, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3-We started processing your application on December 17, 2012.
