Normal to get updated PCC request after RPRF?

So my husband and I applied last year in October and they requested a few additional documents in June 2014. Then in September they asked for my husbands updated police certificate and then they sent us the medical request followed by the RPRF request. We were waiting for the passport request but they sent an email asking for my updated police certificate, is this normal? I'm getting it from back home but I'm worried as to why they asked for it at this stage. Please advice or share similar experiences.

It is completely normal. I saw a case where they asked for Police Certificate after Passport Request
The only thing CIC want that all the Certificate and Medical has to be valid till VISA got issued.

So the only thing I can imagine in your case is your PPC may be expiring or expired as you said you applied Last year.

Once you get VISA please land as soon as you can...

Thank you so much. I hope once I submit this, I get the passport request. And you're right, it probably has expired as it has been more than 13 months to my application.
