It's funny that you had your test one day later than we had ours and you will have your oath exactly one day later too. Looks like CIC really works hard to keep prompt timelines.

My son is 8 years old and the letter says that "a person aged fourteen (14) or older who is granted Canadian citizenship must take the Oath of Citizenship to become a Canadian citizen." Does that mean that our son doesn't need to come with us even if he received the actual invite by mail?

Hello, Were you asked for fingerprinting if so when did you go for that. I passed my test on Sep 16, 2015 and on Sep 30 I got request for fingerprinting which I got done within a day and still in process.
All other offices (Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver etc..) are
already calling March Applicants for Oath. Whats up
with Calgary. I feel Calgary has many many applicants
and very limited citizenship ceremonies. Calgary
should hire more judges and also have more ceremonies.

Since taking the test on August 4, 2015, nothing changed online and we didn't receive OATH invite yet. Anybody else in the same boat.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 6, 2015
3. We started processing your application on January 7, 2015 (Calgary Office)
4. We sent you a notice on July 21, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on August 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us

I have a friend who applied in Nov 2014, missed the first test (due to late receipt of the letter) and finally wrote the (second) test on 22 oct 2015 and took his oath on 23 Nov 2015.
