Ocean Import Customer Service Agent

Job Responsibilities

 Oversee operational logistics of ocean import shipments from origin vessel loading through to arrival at destination and proactively communicate updated status’ for customers
 Manage/analyze internal workflow process to monitor and track global Import Ocean shipments to Canada with strong attention to data entry/integrity & accuracy
 Rail Tracking
 Vessel Tracking
 Understanding and functional knowledge of INCO Terms
 Complete all operational shipment event updates in line with internal Milestone initiatives and Ocean dashboard requirements – Adhere to KPI compliance
 Communicate with internal teams to update & maintain customer SOPs
 Prepare, control and distribute required Import transportations documents (Ocean bills of lading, Commercial documents, Cargo control documents, etc) with related partners/parties (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.) complying with regulations and internal procedures
 Co-ordinate pickup and delivery arrangements with local partner trucks
 Create transportation work orders
 Manage ocean carrier payables to ensure both timeliness and accuracy
 Reconcile internal transactions/settlements within the team as well as our global network
 Manage/complete timely and accurate billing to our customers
 Ensure that all work is completed per Expeditors Operational Process Standard (OPS) requirements
