Hi Everyone,
I am confused between NOC Code 2171 and 2172 for one of my job responsibilities.
I had worked in Microsoft Excel and below were my responsibilities:
1. Data Management - Extracting travel data using in-house tools using SQL Queries, carrying out QC checks and data closure for reporting use.
2. Preparing business reports on weekly and monthly basis.
3. Preparing consultant dashboards depicting performance of Consultants and respective Team Leader.
I think NOC code should be 2172: Data Mining Analyst. Please provide your inputs.
Thanks in Advance !!
2172 is the wrong NOC. This is the NOC for Database analysts and data administrators. Your duties are not a match to this NOC. I don't see how your duties match NOC 2171 either.
Based on the duties you provided, this looks like more of an analyst or administrative role.

2172 also includes data miner analyst in example. So, if these are incorrect, please help in finding the correct NOC code

When selecting a NOC - you need to look at the main duties - not at the job titles. Your job duties need to match at least 60% of the main duties of the NOC you select.

Thank you for your insights. Somehow, I am not able to map the responsibilities back to any NOC code. What should I do?
I would post your questions to the Express Entry section of the forum. This is where you can find most NOC related discussions.

There are multiple threads on this topic - I don't know of a specific one you should be following. Sorry.
