Guys Help me:
I am a Civil Engineer with M.Sc. Transportation Engineering degree working as a Project Engineer on a mega Infrastructure project in Pakistan.
Many of my friends and seniors shared me that to get a proper engineering job in canadian market, you either have engineering practicing licence of canada or Master degree from Canada.
Keeping in view above said fact, I started research for MEng admission in Canada, but confused that in which field i do my masters. Shall I do Meng in Transportation Engineering or Meng Construction Management?
My friends suggested that as I have already a degree of Msc transportation engineering so I should pursue in the direction MEng contruction management or Project and Construction Management.
2ndly in the long run which degree is more beneficial in terms of rank and salary?
Kindly guide me about this along with good universities offer this degree
Regards,
Raza Khan

Raza - There is no doubt that having a master degree from Canada will help you make a very smooth transition in to Canadian job market. Considering that you already have done masters and your background as project engineer, I would suggest to pursue masters in construction management. You can also consider taking FE Exam (http://ncees.org/) as some local certification and start a job hunt based on that.

Hello,
All the best.
Nothing as such. Just keep your self healthy, by keeping your BP and sugar levels in control.

Has any civil engineer from this forum landed in Canada this year. I plan to land in August with my family. The concern in that November is start of snow and construction business activities are likely to shrink a bit due weather condition. Which gives me two three months to settle in and launch myself in market. So the question is, is August this year is right time for landing for a civil engineer? Or should I consider delaying my plans by another few months and land in February 2016. Any expert advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kashif
Hello friend,
i am also planning to land in the month of august and have same question in my mind as to what's the best possible time for Civil Engineer.
