No update from IRCC on citizenship oath ceremony. Next steps?

At least look at the history profile of the person who's reported the news before declaring him/her spam. If you don't wanna believe, simply don't believe, why terming someone spam without any evidence?

There are others getting it too. I've seen someone's physical letter. Another person has their oath via zoom tomorrow.

I take it the Virtual Oath is for persons who've already managed to pass their exams? I haven't even gotten a request to do my exam as yet, so I guess I have a few more months wait time ahead of me (and others like me) .

Congrats to everyone who is able to move on and do their oaths virtually!

Was in a facebook group, but they deleted it as their application number was showing. This specific letter mentioned their urgent processing request. But I know others, like the person above, didnt have urgent processing.

That’s pretty confusing to figure out which group of people qualified for this, first I thought it’s gonna be people who got their original appointment cancelled, but seeing you say this has something to do with urgent processing makes it even more confusing lol. I guess IRCC themselves are still trying to figure out what to do.

Looks like she was originally scheduled on March 17 and wasn't an urgent processing case. So maybe they slowly are making their way down the queue.

So far it's virtual only for oaths, and only a couple of people from Alberta and Ontario have reported their experience.

Hi Guys,

I see, a few guys on this forum have posted to have received an ECAS update or email from IRCC regarding virtual citizenship ceremony. Frankly speaking, I do not trust those guys because IRCC cannot initiate such events, at the very least, without mentioning on its official website. The IRCC official web page (Last updated: June 01, 2020) categorically says "All citizenship events are cancelled". Therefore, please do not believe in those unauthenticated news.
