I do have questions related to reference letter. As I am working for India based IT company on a work permit here in Canada. I am planning to apply for PR under CEC. But as it's company transfer and by policy my employer can;t issue reference letter for permentant migration purpose.
So alternatively, We need to provide some proof to CIC why we can;t provide reference letter. What all documents should We provide for this purpose. I do have T4, salary pay stub , work permits , some company trasnsfer letter but again is in soft copy.
If you cannot get a letter of employment, you need to
1) write a letter explaining how you tried to get one, and why you could not - if you have it in writing about the Company's policy (e.g. email) to refuse to provide the letter, include that. Also include in the letter ALL the details that are supposed to be in the letter of employment (see Document Checklist), as well as the name and contact info for the person that CIC should call to verify your employment.
2) include copies of any contract or job offer you may have (company transfer letter is good, esp. it has details such as job duties, start date, salary, benefits, etc.).
3) Include information about the Canadian company you work for - annual report, website... (CIC does not care about the Indian parent company, just the one in Canada).
Some applicants have been asked for the CRA business number and/or provincial registration number (if it's a small company and its existence is in doubt). But don't worry about that unless it is requested later...
Include all the other required documents (T4, NOA). Paystubs are not required.
