No news after 8 months of applying PR under CEC

Hello Members,

I had applied for PR in September 2014 under the CEC category. The package was received at CIC Sydney office on 17th September, 2014. But till date I have got no response from CIC. They have not charged the processing fees yet and my application has not been returned to me either (rejected case). There is absolutely no way I can track what is going on with my application. Has anyone in this forum faces such issue? Any help will be appreciated.

Did you send your application by courier / expresspost, making sure CIC has received your application?

Yes. I sent it through Fedex. Fedex sent me email with the details of the delivery with the time and the name of the person who signed to receive the package.

Hi, call Cic call center with the Fedex details ( When was sent, when delivered, who received it). They can help you to track your application, at least you will know the application was received and never return.

That is odd. you might want to check with CIC hotline and see why is your application in limbo ?

My Friend sent through FedEX in Oct month & it reached within a day & fedex delivery date was showing 15th Oct but when CIC reached it's no of application quota they returned his application. Surprisingly the delivery date was 2nd Nov.
The point is through courier it goes to box no & when CIC opens that box no they consider that date only.
I doubt your application would have been opened after 20th Oct 2014 when CIC reached its max application & they might have returned which was never delivered or misplaced.

The best bet is apply through EE at any case if it was not charged they are not going to consider.

Hi Amisnic, What do you mean by MP? As mentioned, I have not received any file number or UID either.
