Hey guys. So my spouse (Canada, 24F) and I (US, 26M) finally got around to submitting our Outland Spousal Sponsorship application near the end of April. The delivery date was May 3rd and as of June 11th, we finally received an email, for her stating that they received an email, and for me a request of biometrics.

Unfortunately the soonest appointment to submit biometrics is on July 6th, however, wasn't there also supposed to be a medical exam request as well? I haven't received any further emails besides the biometrics request, but I just linked my application to my IRCC account yesterday and the results below seem confusing. Why does it say that I don't need a medical exam or biometrics, especially when it has requested biometrics?

Review of eligibility
We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results
You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.

Review of additional documents
We do not need additional documents.

Interview
You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics
We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check
We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Ignore the medical line, standard always-wrong clock. You'll get the medical request in due course.

It's not weird that it says "we don't need fingerprints" and this website says US citizens don't need to give biometrics?

It's weird but it is always that way. Give the biometrics.

If you read below on that site it says pr applicants must give biometrics. It's poorly presented but it's there.

Anyone still waiting on medical request ?

I haven’t received medical request at all and my spouse got SA and I received pre-arrival letter…very confused by this. (Spouse is Canadian citizen and I am a US citizen)
US citizens don’t need medical exam, you should be fine ! Congratulations

US citizens do need a medical exam. I'm a US citizen and had one. Pretty sure that people get pre arrival before the medical request pretty frequently
Ok so nvm on the last statement, still back to waiting on medical request….
