No list of personal belongings when first landed - problem?

Dear friends,

When we landed in Montreal last year, I did not have the list of personal belongings with us - basically because we weren’t going to physically move until now. I read somewhere I should have had that list on me and stamped at entry. Is there a way to still do it now, or did we miss the chance to bring our furniture without duties? Thank you!

That's OK. You can get custom docs stamped at the time of permanent move and move your goods duty free.

Not a problem at all. We didnt prepare one either, and at the airport nobody asked for it.
