Now the wait for the card begins.

Nexus cards received today. End of our immigration journey which began back in May 2016 when I first asked for a transfer with my office from Dubai to move to Canada

Mine they asked questions on the information i mentioned in the application - which countries you travelled to in the past 5 years, fews more questions confirming my identity (first and last name, date of birth, current address).

I am going back to grad school so i brought with me the enrolment verification letter and gave it to the officer. The officer went on the website to check my school and program.

They did not ask anything for the reason i need the card.

When the last officer returned to me the papers, she asked me when did i become PR and if i lived out of Canada since then, i said 2021 and i only travelled for 3 weeks. She said if so it's fine.

• Why do you need NEXUS?
• How often do you travel (to the US)?
• Do you still live at your address?
• Status in Canada.

I received my card. Apparently we still need to activate the card. So sorry correcting my words here.

I just got my conditional approval today. May 2023 applicant. Onto interview scheduling

Asked CBSA for ATIP notes. They spend 8 months to “find” my PR card, then two weeks to pass the security check on the Canadian side. Apparently the U.S. side took four months to process later. The ATIP notes are not related to the processing time. I don’t recommend asking for those notes.
