Does anyone know what is the next step after sending in the PGR police check? Does this mean we're close to the end or is this the beginning?
Any ideas?

Next step : you will receive passport request, from 4 to 8 weeks after sending the PC.

So this is getting near the end this isn't a first step procedure? Is there still a chance to get called for an interview?

We went to the PGR today. The guy didn't like that we didn't have an original request with a seal from the Canadian Embassy but he allowed the letter. The record check should be done in 7-10 days. Everything went well. So next send it to the embassy and wait for the PPR?

yes you are very close and you are very lucky that the timeline for you is short.

I think one reason is that we live together here in Mexico and have for 5 years. So it's not as though it's a long distance relationship that has only been for a short time. I imagine it makes it more cut and dry.

I know its not easy but at least you are together in Mex.

Besides.... ..its freezing cold in Toronto -40 lately with wind chill !

Most people are very naïve about Immigration (as I was) 8)

Yeah we've learned a lot about immigration. We're going to be going to my hometown which is Vancouver. We don't get -40 there, Lol
