Hi. Does anybody know if I can get the Federal Police Certificate (Constancia de Antecedentes Registrales) issued
by the Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) in the state in which we live which is Tabasco or do you have to go to Mexico City for this?

You can now get them in the state PGR offices. See http://www.pgr.gob.mx/Servicios/Constancia/antecedentes%20registrales.asp for details. The offices in Tabasco are at:

Delegación Tabasco

Sede Villahermosa Avenida Prolongación Paseo Usumacinta No. 1707, Ranchería Emiliano Zapata,C.P. 86106,Villahermosa, Tabasco. Tel.(993) 310-9602 RV. 8838-9601, 02
Agencia Cárdenas Carretera Circuito del Golfo S/N, Col. Melchor Ocampo,C.P.86903,Cárdenas,Tabasco. Tel.(937)372-1250 RV. 8838-9410
Agencia Tenosique Calle 27 no. 911, Col.Coyol, Tenosique, Tabasco, C.P.86900.Tel.(934)342-2813 RV. 8838-9402
UMAN-COE Villahermosa Calle Doctor Gustavo Rovirosa No. 117, Col. Tamulte, C.P. 86150, Villahermosa,Tab.Tel.(993)187-0751

¡Buena suerte!

Thanks a lot. That is what I thought but I wasn't sure if they only issue state checks. Thanks again

Happy to help :) Good luck!

At least in my state you have to go to a Sede, the agencias are only for open crimes.

Here are the requisites: http://www.pgr.gob.mx/servicios/constancia/antecedentes%20registrales.asp
Everything is original and copy. The payment is done at the bank. For the photos you need two fronts and two right profiles, ask for "filiación a color" (the oval ones)

Will they accept a cfe receipt with another person's name? You know here when you rent you don't put your name on the contract for the cfe. Also can the bank payment be made in advance or do you have to go to the PGR and then go make the payment and return?

Bank payments have to be made in advance. You need to fill out an e5cinco Hoja de ayuda (http://www.pgr.gob.mx/servicios/e5cinco/Pago_5Millar/pago_5millar.asp?Inicio=0) print it and take it to the bank.

For comprobante de domicilio they need to be in the applicant's name or a direct relation. PGR accepts cfe, telmex, gas, cell phone or banks statements (banks are the least troublesome when you rent)

But does the address have to be the same as where we live now? We just moved and haven't changed all the bank, cell phone accounts or does it just have to show the person's name?

Meaning can we get a cfe from my mother-in-law although we don't live at that address?

anybody know?

Is that possible Charalito?

Would they accept a statement from the cable contract we have with Cablecom?

The PGR states in their website http://www.pgr.gob.mx/servicios/constancia/antecedentes%20registrales.asp that the comprobante de domicilio has to be from a NATION-WIDE entity. I don't know is Cablecom is national or regional

trying to get that letter for the PGR almost gave me a nervous breakdown ! What a nightmare.
