Hello all,

I have a question: I just got the COPR (Ontario) and will be moving to Canada shortly. In case, I need to travel before receiving the PR card, do I need to apply for a PRTD or my french passport will allow me to get in?

Thank you

You will need to apply for a PRTD once outside Canada or get an ESTA and come back via a US land border with your COPR. Some people on here have suggested it takes a while for the ETA to get cancelled out but can be a risk to book a ticket get to check in and then be refused boarding.

Not a case of a French passport allowing you in given once you are a PR you are entitled to enter the country it is the need as a PR for a PR card or PRTD to board a plane destined for Canada
