for everyone’s clarity & satisfaction-

1- are there any possibilities wherein IRCC initiate PR portal credentials & portal access without applicant CIC application stages stands approved completely?

2- Why are applicants noticing delays in eCopr release these days?

1. IRCC is sending portal e-mail followed by credentials e-mail before approving your application in CIC. That's the norm now. The reason is they want to issue E-COPR only for the people who are in Canada right now. That's the reason your portal e-mail says if you or your dependents are not in Canada, you should let them know while replying back. Once you declare that you are staying in Canada after getting portal credentials, then they issue your E-COPR and update your pr application in CIC to approved.

2. I think there are too many applications getting approved lately and maybe they don't have the capacity to speed up the process. It was definitely fast 2-3 weeks back. I got my E-COPR 2 days after declaring that I'm in Canada. Also, a lot of us seem to be worried if we are not getting a response in 2-3 days and we are sending follow-up e-mails. This could potentially add load on them.

Hey y'all, I just got my credentials today (June 8). I received and replied to the first email on May 28th so it did take a while! I only replied once to the email, just need to be patient!

I do not have dependents, I copied and pasted the template directly and filled in my details like this:


Name: FirstName LastName
UCI: 1234567
Email (as set out in this message): email@website.com
Original entry date: YYYY-MM-DD
Date of last time entered Canada: YYYY-MM-DD
Location(Port of Entry): Toronto-Pearson International Airport

That was the entirety of my email.

Not necessarily. I have my ecopr since may 26th but my CIC application is still in submitted status no change at all except medical and biometrics update. i have seen some posts here with ecopr but application status not updated.

am a new member here. I am also waiting Since May 30th, 2021 for the credentials. I see a lot of people waiting since May, 28th and above. my email was from Virtual Landing Unit, Centralized Network. Am not sure which Office is this? Can anyone inform about it

Yeah, you should be fine. I'm pretty sure it's just a human reading these emails so as long as you have the basic info there, you'll be golden.

Hope I get the ecopr soon too!

Also Is there anything else we need to do before PGWP expires?? My pgwp will expire tomorrow.

I was checking the forum history on PR portal. I have noticed they send first email in even dates, like May 30, 28, 26, 24 ...
previously they were responding fast in one day after reply for credential.
but now I have found it takes around 6 ~ 7 days after first reply. for example yesterday most of people who replied on May 26 or May 27 have received their credential for the portal

True. Yesterday i noticed that many from May 28 received credentials.

waiting for the credential. I have just resent the same info. let's see.

Finally Got another update from Call center this morning. Agent says she sees a note on 1st June saying my address & other details have been confirmed on landing. While i dont have the credentials yet with me ...I am confused if they have intiated my COPR process or another ocean of wait from i recieve the portal credentials...
