Yup, and we still don't know anything about processing times. There's some vague hints saying that applications are meant to be processed in 6 months or less, but would IRCC throw in a matter of weeks the EE budget into processing those applications? Jesus. I'm still as torn between this and CEC as I was a few weeks ago.
We just realized that my wife's visa is expired (not her study permit; it is valid. Her visa in her passport). Do you think this would be an issue? Should we apply for a new one before applying to this stream, or it doesn't matter? We can't travel anywhere because of the lockdown anyway.

I think the best option is to ask for a letter on May 5 and mention in the letter that we would be employed on May 6 as well. I think it’s too risky to ask for the letter on May 6, as we don’t know when the stream would open and we can’t ask the employer in the middle of the night.
