New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

Hey guys,
Anyone tried uploading an invitation letter on the IRCC portal? Where did you upload it?

Timeline of my mother's visitor visa application (from India):

1st application in GCKey: July 4th, 2021
2nd application in IRCC Portal: Sep 28th

Passport request for 2nd application in IRCC portal: Nov 15th

What time did u receive PPR ?

Did you got any update in between.
i applied on 30th sept. Ni updates yet

No updates at all in between.
When I spoke with local MP office at the beginning of November, I was told that I should expect some updates from IRCC around 6-7 weeks from the application date. Which I did, got the PPR in the 7th week (around 32 business days).

Hopefully you will get PPR this or next week.

Finally my wife got much awaited PPR request.
timeline is as below:
First application: March 20th 2021
Biometrics given: August 23rd 2021

Second application via portal:
Date of submission: Sept 29th 2021
Biometrics updated: Sept 29th 2021
Webform raised: November 10th 2021
PPR request /Approval: November 11th 2021

No she's not working. We said she is coming to visit me and my two minor kids who just came from india in August as P.R. We quoted helping kids to settle down in their initial settlement phase.

Hi all,

I have applied for visitor visa for my parents
First application
Submitted -August 2016
Biometric- 28 Sept 2021

As per the new guidelines I had resubmitted application through GCKEY again 24 Oct 2021 .

Till now only biometric is updated from old application after that there is no response .

Should I wait for update or submit new application again on new Portal ?
Please advise

Hi guys,
I just tried to do a second application for my Mum on the IRCC Portal, but I didn't see where I can include the previous application number.

Is there a provision for that on the portal or its just GCKey?

Can I go ahead to apply without putting including the previous application number?

My inlaws have applied via IRCC portal (new process) on Nov 10. They are in India. They are trying to raise a webform to request expedited approval as my wife and I are expecting our child in Feb 2022. We have a letter from her doctor indicating some risks and would like her parents to visit and stay with us before and after delivery.

In the webform, it asks - is your visa office outside canada? If we choose yes - there are 3 options - delhi, bangalore, chandigarh. Which one to choose? Is there anyway of knowing which office is processing the application?
