New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

It is very confusing how the visa process is being because I have seen cases that apply in August and are approved in less than 1 month. My first application for my mother's visa was in May and the second on September 12 and I have not received any updates.

where did you apply second time ..in gckey or ircc portal?

Ok I applied for my mom visitor visa second time through GCkey yesterday

Applied for dependents on Old GC key. Consultant said not to re- apply through Portal.
Application submitted : 14 July
Bio completed : 26 August
No update so far.

Do we have to submit the documents again with new application like bank statements, funds, pay stubs etc?

1. If you're in the essential visitors list, apply through IRCC Portal
2. If you're not on essential visitors list, apply through GCKey.

...

However, It's like GCKey is faster.

IRCC Portal applicants are given 14-30 business days.. Maybe at that time they'll become faster.

So can we reapply if it is nonessential visit ?

second application Sept 11 thru the portal
PPR sept 23 at 11:40 EST

Hi all, we re-applied TRV on Sep11 thru GCKey. Didn't get any update yet. Anyone in the forum got approval on application submitted on 11th(GCkey)?

Adding to the data here, hoping it would help someone.

1st Application - End of May 2021 (GCMS noted revealed, not even eligibility check was started)
2nd Application - 18th Sep 2021 (Again using GC Key)
Passport Request - 24th Sep

1st Application was automatically withdrawn after PPR on 2nd. Also got a letter saying a refund is not possible on 1st application as some processing has been done. I am really happy there is a positive outcome, not too concerned about the visa fees.


This application is for Family visit.
