Dear all,
Let me update all that today at 5 PM i received my passports with VISA and landing papers.



I was stunned to see the postman with packet in hand, for a while i was speechless and then reacted. I called all my friends and relatives and everyone is happy. This forum is very close to my heart and supported a lot during this long time. Thanks to nSukan for unconditional support to all.

Will keep in touch with all. I'll require lot of support to settle in canada. I will be attending CIIP session on 7th in ND. Anyone joing that session.

One more thing I am from IT background (Networking), anyone from same field need to know about job opprtunities in Canada.

I got a call from my consultant yesterday that my passport has been stamped and i will be getting my passport by tuesday.

And i am planning to travel as early a possible may be on coming friday, now kindly advice how to show proof of funds during the landing. ofcourse i will taking some cash but should i take rest in form of Demand draft or Traveler's check.

Please advice.

Congrats! Carry some cash/travellers' cheques and take rest in form of DD. You don't have time for that otherwise an easy alternative is to open Scotiabank account either directly at their Barakhamba road branch, ND, or through HDFC bank. Transfer funds to this account which would be available immediately after landing in Canada.

Thanks for starting and handling this thread in an excellent manner. I am watching this thread from long but never posted something,because feel very small in terms of knowledge in front of u.


Small background that I got my 2nd AOR ON 3RD FEB 2011 DATED 20TH JAN. AND I AM HOPING TO GET MEDICAL REQUEST IN 2-3 MONTHS.

Need some advices on below concerns :--

(1) My wife is expecting baby in the month of May. So do we need to inform them if they send medical before delivery or if it comes after delivery then how we can add baby on the list ?

(2) Might be my co. tell me to travel to USA in the coming months. In those cases how i will manage for medicals and Passport submission ?

Will feel great if u could guide me on these concerns.

I am planning to resign by 15th Feb with full notice of 2 months and during these two months will look for job and other stuff. Will fly by the last week of April. Yet to decide for city. Will prefer Vancouver over Toronto due to temparature as my kid is only 3 yrs old.
