Hi vicky_delhi

Why dont you write a letter to one of the chief executive of the Canada High Commission saying that some abroad travel is required for your present job and would like to get the passport stamped with a visa a bit quicker. It may be a foolish question, but it can make them aware that people are struggling with a stuck passport.

I may possibly go through this situation as I need to travel abroad every month. I talked to my consultant and he told me that he will send a letter when they ask for medicals and passport request.

I know its doesn sounds a lot of sense, but just a try !

Except VISA, I have lost a lot due to unavailablity of my passport with them. They should not retain passport for such a long time, what if person has to travel? But be positive, 2011 will bring lot of cheers for everybody

Don't do that they will tell you to take the passport back and re-submit once you are back from your travel....believe me...Along with that if you travel every month then you should entry and exit stamps on your passport to justify that .....they will easily get to know that you are just trying to speed up the process for yourself...and sending a letter like that ...I don't think is the right way of making them aware of something

they will return passport without stamping and will ask to send PPt to them when you come back to India

You guys may be right. But I have no choice as my presnt job need me to travel abroad freequently.


Vicky_Delhi, These guys may be right. As you said its good to wait rather than rush if you are okey with it.

Anyway leave a note once you get your passport back.

BTW guys, I have already written to CHC to help process the visa faster as I too have to travel a lot and there is a travel due in the 2nd week of January and I am afraid I might have to miss the same. I have not heard anything back from them as they are probably on vacation but most of the time I have heard back from them within 3 days. I will keep you guys updated so those of you who are in similar position can learn from my case. By the way Happy new year to all of you guys ;D ;D ;D ;D
