Yes, you are right waiting for Passport should be a fun days.
CHC always keep us on toes till last extend, they keep our passport for so long so that we start thinking negative. Even if we want to travel out side country we can't as they have our passports since 3 months
After Medical and passport its should be time for relief. I pray that this waiting comes to an end with VISA for you and me and all who are waiting

did you got your RPRF recipt ? and if so how much time after sending passports

I Resend the correct amount on 25 Nov 2010
RPRF Receipt received: 2 Dec 2010------> 8 days after sending correct fee
In Total it is 110 days from Passport/Medical/RPRF Fee till today

I GOT MY PASSPORTS BACK TODAY, WAS REALLY HAPPY WHEN I GOT A CALL FROM POSTMAN, BUT THEN AGAIN IT IS ND CHC . I GOT LETTER SAYING THAT PLEASE RENEW YOUR PASSPORT AS YOUR PHOTO IS VERY OLD AND WE CANNOT STAMP VISA ON IT. IT JUST DELAY OF ANOTHER ONE MONTH . I HAVE TRAVELLED TO MORE THEN FIFTEEN COUNTRIES AND NEVER HAD PROBLEMME WITH PHOTO . BUT WHAT CAN I DO BUT TO WAIT. :'(
is it absoulate neccassry that i have to get verifcation from the SHO concerned or some body else can do the verification as well , i mean they have mentioned list of another persons as well
Sorry to hear that jassicool... but what do they mean by photo is too old? I thought only the pp validity of infants and children outlived half life of the photo... but even for adults?
now my photo in the pp was 5 yr old and looked very different from the one I sent for visa- had a goatee in the visa... so to be on the safe side I also sent them a recent pic without the goatee saying that I still very much like I did 5 yrs ago!!

Really it was a great out of the world feeling when that call came in at 2:03 pm. on my mobile from the consultants office in Bangalore. I will remember this day for the rest of my life. I really could not believe it first. I hope and pray that all of you waiting for the visa will get it soon. Just do not give up hope, for GOD is with all of you all the time. All the best to all of you and keep in touch. Just to let you know that ECAS still shows "In Process". Expecting it to change to "Decision Made" this coming Tuesday.
