In 2010, 2011 it used to be very fast. After that there many marriage fraud cases like shown below due to which govt tightened up the rules. But more than one year processing time is just ridiculous.

Fraud marriages doesn't mean they should fcuk up the genuine cases. How they are able to fasten up the process for 2015 candidates? Its more than 17 months for us now and still no hope... 2014 interview recommended candidates are suffering the most.
conditional PR is 2 year conditional visa for new spouse coming to canada, new comers have to stay with their spouses for two year and then after immigration ll take interview if they would satisfy with your relation then you get PR, oyherwise they refused. But if you have kid before 2 year then this rule doesnt applies PR get right way.
During this period if death occur to sponsor then no PR.

Conditional PR doesn't mean anything different. They are PR and have all the rights as a PR. There is no interview after 2 years (unless you are being randomly audited). If you are a normal couple then you don't have to worry about Conditional PR at all and it even shouldn't be talked about.
Also, if your spouse dies within 2 years, you still get to keep your PR (as long as you were staying with your spouse until his/her death).
Conditional PR is there so that people don't do fraud cases. It happened to one of my friend. His wife stayed with him for 2 years and then as soon as the 2nd year was up, she started showing her real colours and threatening him to give divorce. She only came here to become PR and her parents were also involved.

Thank you guys for the reply..there is one more thing to add from what I read in CIC website..this rule applies to couple who are married for less than 2 years when sponsoring the application
Then you have bigger problems in life to worry about than ur conditional PR.
Worst case scenario: The sponsored spouse had a life before coming to Canada and should move on. Even if that means going back to their home country. Unless that person also married because they were dazzled by Canada.
I know 2-3 friends of mine with family who went back to their home country even though they had good jobs here because their priority in life was to be with their parents.
My wife is on visitor visa in Canada...Initially her home address displayed on ECAS was of Indian address...this week it has been changed to our address thats of Canada....has anyone faced similar situation....?
