My spouse received an email from ND about requesting a PCC but I have already sent the certificate. Then 10 minutes later they sent another email saying to ignore the first email as they have the PCC. Should I be worry or is that normal? Has that happened to anyone
Hey People, popped in again for an advice! Wondering if contacting the MP or requesting the GCMS notes would delay my application further? Also, if I want to go through either one of them to find out the status of my application, which one would you recommend?
Cheers!
I am just wondering about the relative timelines when people get their PPR request via phone? Vs via email?
I think phone PPR comes to people who have applied much before and for some reason they did not get the PPR by mail at a regular time. So my guess is the email PPR & hence the DM relation to Phone PPR and hence the DM is critical in keeping track of applications here after. May be some one can add this column to excel file. Will be helpful in future.

hi..I have a question..i am sponsering my husband from india and i am in canada right now.we sent our application package to cic in may and got approved in july and delhi visa office already asked for my husbands passport. now on there website it says case IN PRROCESS and they received medical. but there is question in my mind. when i filed the appllication package in may after some days i went back to india to visit him. and then i came back after 3 and half months. could it be a problem that i was in india? i am a permanent residence in canada? and they did not ask for the residing proof after we filed the application.
dont worry Sandhu, if ECAS is already "in process", it means next step will be DM without any delay. if your husband has no travel history, you will get DM soon but in case of travel history, it can take some time.
best of luck
I was re reading my application and came across this question in the applicant's form:
Have you, or if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada, ever:
6)been refused status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de selection du Quebec(CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?
Does this question also imply student visa? I was refused student visa to US early on, so now I am wondering if this is going to affect my application in any way as I answered no to this question. :S
you should send that form with correct information again to ND VO asap. you can write additional letter explaining your situation and reason for that mistake (could not relate student visa to the other kind of visas and you didnt ask for student visa clearly in forms)
good luck
hi i too hav travel history but i dnt knw if travel history delays the case or not same people say it does n some say not m also confused.. if we had already subbmitted the PCC then what other BC they want to do isnt that PCC enough ??
PCC is completely different than BC/SC. PCC is moreover like a proof of residence in that area nothing more than that but BC and SC consist of your criminal history, work history, participation and part of any organisation/group, Military records and other govt services. before they issue your visa, they need to make sure that you are not a threat for Canada or Canadians
hope it helps
Thank you ashunandal...we called cic and they asked us to write a letter to nd vo explaining the mistake. They said no need to resend form. Just send form only if they instruct us further..
Hopefully it does not affect the process. You think it might cause any delay or problem?
