yes you need to get your husband's name on your passport and it takes only 30 days now to get new passport. they imposed this rule before 2-3 weeks

If you dont mind, do u have any reference or specific information to this new rule? Because I do not see any such rule's information as of now and If its like that New Delhi in the passport request letter should specify this when asking for the passport as they do for everything.

no i didnt because my passport was requested in may and we just started hearing about these new rules.

That's good. Lets hope for the best for everyone and this rule doesn't affect anyone. My wife sent her passport last week to New Delhi.

Just saw some posts about spouse' name on passport.. Does anyone have more info? I dont have my wife's name on my passport. Is that going to be a problem? We are waiting for second passport request. I had read somewhere that its ok if husband deosnt have wife's name on passport, its alrite. But its required of wife to have husband's name on passport..is this true?
If anyone has any further info, plz share.

My hubby got a letter date sept 3rd on sept 8th to send more picture and we send them the next day. ....Still waiting...

Hi guys,

Yesterday, my wife received letter dated 10th Sept, requesting some more documents and they gave two months to submit. One of documents is related to me and I have to send her the original copy of it.

Now, my question is:

Do I send the original to her and then she can send it with other documents as a package ?

OR

Can I send the original directly to CHC Delhi, referring to her case number and a scanned copy of the request letter she received ? In this case, she will include the scanned copy of my documents in the package and will refer to the original being sent directly.

Anyone who got document request, please reply ASAP ...
