My question to everybody who sent their passports to ND VO- I was wondering if it is important to send a cover letter along with the passport and documents andif so..what should I write ?? I'm absolutely clueless. Besides, I'm over 30 days late already as I had been travelling :-(. Please help!

Good news people... My application also shows two addresses- one in Canada (partial) and the full Indian address. Hmm... looks like New Delhi is updating a whole bunch of applications together.

I can't understand the need to update this bit of information. I mean, obviously if they deem that the current "home" address is in Canada- it means the decision is already made that the applicant will be issued a visa. So why can't they just put "Decision Made" ? Instead of it, they just updated the address bit, but didn't change the status from "In Process" or "Application Received"

That's good news kingcobra...hopefully we get DM this weekend...

if u have given ur mail id they will send u thro e-mail. or else they might call and tell u by phone or sometimes by letter....

Guys this morning there is a change in my 'ecas'. They have added my 'current home address' as Canadas's address and 'current mailing address' is still there as India's address.

There is no any other change in the status. It is still 'Application received'

What does this mean???? Is it a good news???

NO I m still waiting for my passport. I Don't know happen. i Have CHC NDVO my consultant address for send pp Back. but yet Big NO

After getting DM its take 2-10days u will get ur passport.
In some case like me its taking time. I got DM on 3 of this month

Write a cover letter stating that the documents requested are attached along with the passport...also mention your current mailing address if it is different from the one sent earlier...

Example below:-

This is with reference to your letter dated XX-XX-XXXX received via e-mail regarding the documents required for further processing of my application for permanent residence in Canada under the Family Class.

As requested, please find attached the following documents along with copy of the above mentioned letter.

Right of Permanent Resident Fee: The Right of Permanent Resident Fee has already been paid and the receipt was forwarded to the Case Processing Centre, Mississauga with the initial application – photocopy attached.

Police Clearance Certificate: Please find attached photocopy of the Police clearance certificate, the ORIGINAL police clearance certificate was submitted with the initial application to CPC Mississauga.

Passports: Enclosed is my current passport and I do not have any expired passports.
