you will get your passport back soon with shining visa and COPR :-*

yes you should contact your MP now and they can not update your status but will give you all info about your case and reason for delay in processing.
you can not contact New delhi visa office, although you have an option to send case specific enquiry to new delhi but they dont reply and sometimes they reply after 30 days

do they give detailed info about the case & reason for delay??? but as far as I have read in this forum the replies from ND VO very are generic in nature....

my wife got a call on Aug 17th, 2012 so last friday and I got decision made today - so 7 days.
