New CEC - Jan 2013 Applications

I sent my application last Thursday and they recieved it on Tuesday.... I don't know how to add my name to the list.
Also, does anyone know how long does it usually takes for you to recieve a confirmation email or something?????

for AOR, i think it takes about 40 days
still a long way to go XD

Hi Guys,

I recently submitted my application in Jan-13 and yet to get AoR. I would like to join this topic.

I realized that, in Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008), I missed to fill "Immigration office requested for processing this application".
I filled this form online and validated as well (perhaps this field is not part of mandatory field). I'm in Canada so I guess it should be - CPP-O (please confirm) in my case.

Just wanted to have your suggestion on how can I go about it? Are they going to return my application for this reason? Now how can I let them know now about it?
Friends please suggest!

You cannot help it at this point as you do not have any reference number (AOR) to add or substitute a doc. If you have submitted your application to CIO Sydney, it is most likely that CIO will themselves assign CPP Ottawa as the processing office (based on your residency status) and forward the same (subject to all docs being in order and meeting requirement).

Hope for the best and wait for the AOR.

If all other things are in order, I don't think it will be rejected for a non-mandatory field. Moreso with your residency status info already present in the application, CPP Ottawa is by default.

Looks like November applicants are getting their AOR's now. I'd say it is taking about two months now.

Also I'm a little uninformed of what happens between the time I send the papers and I get a response.
I mean my work permit will expire pretty soon, Am I ok to stay working at the same place I've been working while waiting or do I need to extend my stay by doing something else??? does anyone know??? am I implied on the moment they recieve my pepers or not???

please any advise from u i am on implied staus .....and i got i can apply for cec
i am eligible for cec that i kmow, i applied lmo and visitor visa for extenstion for status ...hopefully i ll get positive lmo in end of feb 2013.
so do need to send lmo applications copy , job offer letter copy and visitor visa applications copy with my cec application or just a letter that showing i am on implied status .please please advise

Is 6621 your NOC code? I'm afraid it is skill level D job, which is ineligible under CEC.
