New CEC - Jan 2013 Applications

Mine was sent on 25th and received yesterday (Jan 29).

I'm still expecting my T4 and NOA for 2012, and hopefully things wont go wrong.

Sydney Nova Scotia is not a visa office.
They only deal with "receiving the files and creating case number"
On one of the forms, you have to write down which visa office you want your files to be handled
It's either one from your county of citizenship or your country of residence.
And since most of us are here in Canada, we put Ottawa as our visa office.

Yes. You application will be routed to CPP Ottawa by CIO Sydney. No action required from your end.

I think people made the same mistakes before; and as long as your address was in canada, they automatically transferred your file to ottawa.
so i dont think you need to worry too much about it

Folks, perfect count to end the month. 31 days in Jan and 31 applicants.

I suggest anyone who is sending application on 31 Jan or later to post their info on the Feb 2013 tracker (considering that the mail / courier will be delivered at CIO only on 01 Feb or later).

Hi,
I have a question regarding CEC application.
My husband's job title is "Construction Electrician apprentice" under NOC 7241.
He works full time, 40 hours per week and he may enroll for a 10-week training course once a year for his apprenticeship. Is he eligible to apply for CEC even though he has the word "apprentice" on his job title? I'm just afraid whether apprenticeships are considered "full time study". He is working full time and he has a valid open work permit.

worst case scenario, they will return your application. You will just have to update the document with correct information and re-send again.

zaraM, take it easy. orko is just quoting the worst case scenario. i m sure you will get your AOR (if all other docs in order).

Looking at the Dec 2012 tracker... 14 Dec applicants have got their AOR on 30 Jan.
Week starting 15 Feb looks quite realistic for us to expect AOR.
