Hello Everyone,
I had applied for Spouse Open Work Permit (SOWP) with the support of Spouse student visa and rejected my application with below mentioned reasons:
1) You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada by the end of
the period authorized for your stay. In reaching this decision, I
considered several factors, including:
• length of proposed stay in Canada
• purpose of visit
2) You have not adequately demonstrated that you meet the requirements
of a work permit pursuant to section 205(c)(ii) of the Regulations.
Below mentioned documents, I had submitted along with the visa application

Your funds are quite low to support another person. SOWP{ are not guaranteed for spouses of international students.

Study permit validity Jan 2017 - Dec 2019. Then she will apply for 3 years PGWP
If the study permit is valid for 10 more months and if we have applied for the sowp can that cause a problem for the approval of the owp?

My spouse study permit has been Approved but open work permit is still in process. No update on open work permit since submission, not even medicals update ?
Any idea why does it process by them separately instead it should be together?

Spouses of international students are not guaranteed a visa/permit. It can take quite a few months to get response for SOWP.

Hello I just want to ask you one question. I read your CAIPS note. Your refusal main reason is Validity of study permit. your student course completion date :- December 2018 and student gets 3 more months as your study permit expiry was:March end 2019.
Question is then why you applied for SOWP in february 2019? Inspite of knowing that study permit will expire in less then 2 months end of march 2019. This is the main reason of your refusal.
You might have already applied for study permit extension but it was not approved that time when VO was checking your application eligiblity.
