Hello!
my sister has got study permit for September, 2023. She has is going for fully funded program with living allowance at McGill. I am also applying for study permit for September, 2023. If I mention about her in my SOP, will it impact my visa chance?

Please Note: i am explaining my financial situation so i am thinking to mention her as not dependent on my father who is a sponsoring me.
Please guide me shall i mention her or not?
 
i believe you SHOULD mention her because you either ways will have to fill the family information form through which they can extract her information and run it in their system which is a standard protocol. you not mentioning her can be considered misrepresentation. so basically you don't have the option to not mention her cause you will have to.

You don’t have a choice . You MUST mention her. It’s misrepresentation not
