I am currently a permanent resident of Canada. I got landed In July 2017. I know my wife since November 2012 , we got engaged in September 2015 and got married in September 2017. We are living togather since 2014 August. She is currently a visitor here and I want to sponsor her.
I created my profile for express entry pool in January 2015 and got my ITA December 2016. In this whole process till I got my PR card, I showed my status as single. I didn’t mention that I was engaged, can it be a problem in my wife’s spousal application?
Also We are living togather and the lease is on both name since 2014 So do I had to put common in law partnership as my status while I applied for my PR application because it was more than one year we were living together at that time? As I have put my status as single in entire application. But I got legally married to her in September 2017 in Canada after my landing. Please assist me regarding this. Can it be a problem in application when I sponsor her?
Thank you
Yes, you should have declared your status as in common-law partnership. Also, you should have never landed with a single status on your CoPR. Right now, you don't have the right to sponsor your spouse and you will never be able to do so in the future. If you apply now for sponsorship and IRCC finds out about your previous status, the application will be rejected and your PR could be revoked. Your best option is that your spouse apply for PR on her own if she qualifies. Good Luck!

Also note that you have committed misrepresentation (lied to CIC) by saying you were single when in fact you were not. This may carry serious consequences regarding your own PR. Agree with the above, you cannot sponsor your wife. Either she applies for PR on her own or you give up your PR status and start from scratch, this time including your wife in the application.

From what you state here, you should consult a very experienced lawyer immediately.
My point of view is based on your time line, you cannot sponsor your wife forever. And if you do submit an spousal application for your wife, the application certainly will be refused and you will risk your own PR status that when CIC discovered you lied on your previous application. There is an option though, and that is you volunteerly renounce your PR, and re-apply the PR from the very beginning, but this time to include your wife on your application.
